Fly, drive or by sea, getting here and touring around is easier than you think...

Air

Avalon Airport is 20 minutes from Geelong and Melbourne Airport is an hour

away. Jetstar service Avalon Airport from Sydney, Gold Coast, Hobart and Adelaide.

Car

Pick up a Hertz rental car at either airport or in Melbourne city or take the SkyBus into Geelong from Avalon Airport. 

Sea

Searoad Ferries connect Queenscliff and The Bellarine with the Mornington Peninsula, the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne and Phillip Island. Park your car below deck, enjoy a coffee and spectacular views, perhaps encounter dolphins and relax knowing you’ve avoided a tussle with Melbourne city traffic. The 40 minute crossing departs every hour, every day between 7am-6pm (plus a 7pm service from 26 Dec – 31 Jan and peak times).

Train and Bus

 V/Line trains run regularly between Melbourne’s Southern

Cross Station and cities on the Great Southern Touirng Route such as Geelong, Ballarat and Warrnambool and buses link train services to other regional towns.

It’s a compact region, easy to explore by car. Drive an hour from Melbourne before arriving in Geelong to discover a new experience – delicious food and wine,

spectacular coastlines, historic towns and fun adventures. If you’d rather relax and let someone else worry about the driving, there are plenty of tour companies operating a personalised service.
